Stelrad is the UK’s #1 heating specialist, manufacturing and supplying tailormade products to homeowners and professionals. With an array of radiators available across various price ranges, our marketing campaigns primarily focused on targeting homeowners.

Hitting the ground running with Stelrad, we are thrilled to see our multi-service digital approach pushing the client towards an increase in online visibility and sales.

The Objectives

Stelrad were keen to make their objectives clear – operating in a highly competitive market, they needed to achieve the results they had initially set out to support the growth of the business. This meant that we needed to work fast to ensure the campaign was profitable from the get-go.

The Strategy.

Following the initial strategy, we began to highlight areas of the campaign we would work on in priority order ranging from highest priory to lowest priority to provide us with the chance to pick up some initial traction whilst we continued to work across the different areas of the campaign. Additionally, we began to develop a robust outreach strategy to increase the website's overall inbound links to essential target pages. This  aimed to boost sales and ROI for our broader marketing efforts conducted in conjunction with our digital PR campaign.

The Campaign.

Stelrad had previously worked with another digital marketing agency but failed to see the results needed. They approached us looking for fresh eyes to review the account, with the hope of achieving what they had initially set out. After carrying out an initial performance audit, we identified several quick win opportunities which would expand their visibility at a quicker rate. This included page title and metadata optimisation, internal linking and addressing existing conflicts. The technical health of the website was also lacking and improvements to the flexibility/crawlability needed to be made. Following our content audit, we highlighted some serious cannibalisation across category and product pages that were holding the site back from performing consistently. The pre-existing content was also limited, with poor SPG and no context provided on the main category pages. This led to many pages inadvertently targeting the term ‘radiator(s)’. To combat this, we created 154 new pages of content across all categories and all range pages to improve targeting and provided recommendations on URL restructuring to improve the site’s UX.
