We’ve all seen the feud between M&S and Aldi to do with Colin the Caterpillar and more of our favourite sweet treats but, apart from a lot of drama, some good has come out of the drama that has recently occurred on Twitter.

Supermarkets from across the UK have been joining in by posting some very amusing Tweets, showcasing their reactiveness to having a bit of harmless fun on social media. Here, the Absolute Digital Media team have rounded up the top 7 Tweets from some of our all time favourites.


With the news that Lurpack hits £9.35 in a major supermarket, Lidl hit back with the cost of Danpak priced at 77% less.

M&S shared a meme in a hilarious response to the drama as it continued to unfold over the weekend.


Aldi isn’t one to shy away from what’s happening, quote Tweeting one of their customers on their birthday, hinting at the Caterpillar feud.


Morrisons also shared their thoughts on the situation, pointing out that their caterpillar cake, Morris, had been left out.
