UK Carp Tech promote the opportunity for avid fishers to win the latest carp gear through holding weekly prize draws and competitions. They approached us with the aim of improving their position as a carp fishing competition site via paid social media:
Fishing competition sites are highly popular, especially amongst Facebook users. With the number of competition sites promoting themselves on the platform, we needed to create an effective Facebook advertising strategy that would allow us to capitalise on prospecting and remarketing audiences.
A huge part of the brief was to grow the brands visibility through paid media which would then benefit the organic growth of the brand. To support this, we created a Page Like campaign that would encourage new users to Like the page through offering a first-time use discount code to promote sign ups.
We also created further campaigns to promote “free competitions” from time to time to encourage further users to sign up to the site. This included the creation of a landing page that would pull data through to Mailchimp to email market effectively to these users’ post-competition.
To support our activity we created a series of ad copy and assets to support the brands growth, which included promoting their latest competitions and updating said copy and assets on a regular basis to keep up with demand and compete with similar brands on the platform.
As well as targeting those with a direct interest in Carp Fishing, we targeted users with a general interest in Fishing, as some competitions were suitable across all fishing types.
- UK Carp Tech approached us during the summer of 2019 looking for new ways to enhance their Facebook Ads Account. With a clear objective of improving their visibility from both a paid media and organic perspective, we got to work creating a strategy that would provide the brand with the best of both worlds and support them in being able to purchase even larger prizes for their customer base to potentially win.
- We devised a series of paid media campaigns on Facebook that would allow us to capitalise on the existing data UK Carp Tech had, such as their email subscriber list, users who had purchased from their website, visited their Facebook Page and so on.
- We saw huge successes early on in the campaign, allowing UK Carp Tech to successfully compete with some of their biggest competitors on the platform. This was especially true with lockdown imminent, as we we’re able to capitalise on the fact that people would still be able to take part in outdoor activities, providing us with a further hook (no pun intended!)
Between June when UK Carp Tech came on board, to December that same year, we saw a huge increase in purchases which support the brands paid media and organic activity.
We generated a huge 733.5% increase in revenue, with the business earning £164,585,96 during the 7-month period.
We also saw a huge 1,025.6% increase in the number of purchases being made through Facebook.
ROAS remained incredibly high at 6,079.11% which was a total increase of 598% from when UK Carp Tech first partnered with us.
