SEO training for regulated in-house teams
A working day on how organic search is won in a market where the content has to clear review before it ships. Your team leaves able to plan, brief and audit SEO that holds up to both a search engine and a regulator.
What the day covers
The spine of the session. The examples and the live accounts we work in are yours.
How search works now
Crawling, indexing, ranking and the parts of that chain a regulated site breaks most often. Enough depth to diagnose, without pretending anyone knows the algorithm.
Keyword strategy you can get approved
Finding the terms worth winning, then sorting them by whether your market’s rules let you target them at all.
On-page in a regulated template
Writing titles, headings and body copy that rank while carrying the wording your regulator requires.
Technical foundations
Site structure, internal linking, speed and indexation, taught as the things that decide whether good content gets seen.
Measuring honestly
Which numbers mean something, which are vanity, and how to report a result that survives a sceptical question.
Working with legal and compliance
How to brief a reviewer, what to send them, and how to stop review becoming the bottleneck that kills your publishing schedule.
Module by module
Run in this order, because each one assumes the last.
Search fundamentals
How engines crawl, index and rank, and where regulated sites commonly break that chain.
Keyword and intent research
Building a keyword map from commercial intent, then filtering it against what your market permits.
Content that clears review
Structuring and writing pages that rank and pass compliance first time, rather than after three rounds.
Technical SEO clinic
Working through your own site’s crawl, indexation and structure issues live.
Internal linking and architecture
How site structure concentrates authority, and how to plan it before the build rather than after.
Links and authority
What earns authority in a sector where most link tactics are off the table, and what to avoid entirely.
Reporting and forecasting
Turning rankings and traffic into a story a board will accept, including what not to promise.
SEO is the discipline regulation reshapes most
Taught with your market’s constraints built in.
The commercial keywords in a regulated sector are contested by brands with large budgets and careful lawyers, and the usual advice about publishing fast and often collapses the moment every page needs sign-off. Training has to deal with that honestly: how to build a keyword strategy you can actually get approved, how to write for both the reader and the compliance reviewer, and how to run technical SEO on a site where half the pages carry mandatory wording.

From a scoping call to a team that can do the work
The same shape whichever discipline you book.
The people in the room are the ones doing the work
Our trainers are the specialists who run client campaigns in regulated markets the rest of the week. That is the whole proposition: when somebody asks what happens in an awkward edge case, the answer comes from having been in one rather than from the next slide.
SEO training, answered
Who is this training for?
In-house marketing teams, and the people around them who need to brief or review the work. We run sessions for complete beginners, for experienced marketers moving into a regulated sector for the first time, and for senior teams who want a second opinion on their approach. The scoping call sets the level.
Is the training specific to regulated industries?
Yes. That is the reason to come to us rather than a general training provider. Every module is taught with the constraints of your market built in, because the tactics that work in an unregulated sector are often the ones that get a regulated brand into trouble.
Where does the training take place?
At your offices, at ours in London or Essex, or remotely. Hands-on work needs your team in their own accounts, which works equally well in a room or on a call, though a full day in person tends to hold attention better than a full day on video.
How long is a session?
Most are a single day, or two half-days if taking a whole team off the floor at once is difficult. Shorter formats work for a single module, and longer programmes work when a team is being brought up from a standing start.
How many people can attend?
Up to about twelve. Beyond that the hands-on half stops working, because there is not enough time to get round everyone’s screen. Larger teams are usually better split across two sessions by level.
Do you certify attendees?
No. We are not an accreditation body and a certificate from an agency means very little. What attendees leave with is the deck, their own worked files and a written summary of what we found in their accounts.
What does it cost?
It depends on the format, the number of attendees and how much of the syllabus you need, so the scoping call comes before the quote. We would rather size it honestly than publish a price that turns out to be wrong for your team.
Can you train our team and run our campaigns?
Yes, and a fair number of clients do both. Training a team to brief and review well tends to make the agency relationship better, not redundant. It also works the other way round: some clients train up in order to bring work in-house, and that is a legitimate reason to book.
