Content training

Content training for regulated in-house teams

A working day on planning, writing and governing content in a market where every page is reviewed. Your team leaves able to produce content that performs and clears sign-off first time.

The syllabus

What the day covers

The spine of the session. The examples and the live accounts we work in are yours.

Planning against real demand

Building a content plan from what people actually search for, filtered by what you are allowed to say.

Briefs that prevent rewrites

What a brief must contain so the first draft is close, including the evidence the reviewer will ask for.

Writing with the qualifier built in

Carrying required wording without producing something nobody wants to read.

Evidence and sourcing

Standards for claims, citations and data so review is a check rather than an investigation.

Working with reviewers

Turning legal and compliance from a gate into a collaborator, with a process both sides accept.

Maintaining what you publish

Refresh cycles and ownership, because in a regulated market old content is a liability, not just underperformance.

Why it is different here

The bottleneck is almost never the writing

Taught with your market’s constraints built in.

Most regulated content teams are not slow because people write slowly. They are slow because work goes into review unprepared, comes back with contradictory comments, and goes round again. The craft of regulated content is as much about how a piece is briefed, evidenced and handed over as about the prose, so the training gives as much attention to governance as to writing.

Taught by the agency, not a training company

The people in the room are the ones doing the work

Our trainers are the specialists who run client campaigns in regulated markets the rest of the week. That is the whole proposition: when somebody asks what happens in an awkward edge case, the answer comes from having been in one rather than from the next slide.

Content training, answered

Who is this training for?

In-house marketing teams, and the people around them who need to brief or review the work. We run sessions for complete beginners, for experienced marketers moving into a regulated sector for the first time, and for senior teams who want a second opinion on their approach. The scoping call sets the level.

Is the training specific to regulated industries?

Yes. That is the reason to come to us rather than a general training provider. Every module is taught with the constraints of your market built in, because the tactics that work in an unregulated sector are often the ones that get a regulated brand into trouble.

Where does the training take place?

At your offices, at ours in Dubai, or remotely. Hands-on work needs your team in their own accounts, which works equally well in a room or on a call, though a full day in person tends to hold attention better than a full day on video.

How long is a session?

Most are a single day, or two half-days if taking a whole team off the floor at once is difficult. Shorter formats work for a single module, and longer programmes work when a team is being brought up from a standing start.

How many people can attend?

Up to about twelve. Beyond that the hands-on half stops working, because there is not enough time to get round everyone’s screen. Larger teams are usually better split across two sessions by level.

Do you certify attendees?

No. We are not an accreditation body and a certificate from an agency means very little. What attendees leave with is the deck, their own worked files and a written summary of what we found in their accounts.

What does it cost?

It depends on the format, the number of attendees and how much of the syllabus you need, so the scoping call comes before the quote. We would rather size it honestly than publish a price that turns out to be wrong for your team.

Can you train our team and run our campaigns?

Yes, and a fair number of clients do both. Training a team to brief and review well tends to make the agency relationship better, not redundant. It also works the other way round: some clients train up in order to bring work in-house, and that is a legitimate reason to book.
