    Why a specialist

The role of social media in B2B marketing across the UAE

In the UAE, B2B social media is paid and organic activity aimed at a small, identifiable group of decision-makers, which makes it an account exercise rather than an audience one. LinkedIn carries most of the work, because the professional population here is concentrated and reachable by job title, and because buyers quietly review your company page throughout the long stretch of the cycle before they ever make contact. The UAE’s workforce also moves quickly, so the person you spend six months nurturing may change roles or leave the country before a deal closes. That’s why our Dubai team builds the case for buying into B2B content that anyone new can find, supported by LinkedIn advertising that keeps it in front of the right accounts. Campaigns are built with UAE advertising and data protection standards in mind from the start, so your B2B social media keeps performing, strengthens your wider B2B marketing in Dubai, and wins the accounts that matter most.

    How the work runs

Name the accounts, then earn the attention

We start with the buying organisations and the job titles within them, then build organic presence and paid targeting against that list rather than an audience description. The company page and your senior people carry the credibility work, because a buyer checks both before they ever get in touch.

Everything is reported on qualified opportunities and the pipeline, not on reach. Talk to our team about which committees you need to be visible to.

    Questions

    B2B social media marketing, answered

Is LinkedIn really the main channel for B2B here?

For most B2B businesses in this market it is the most reliable single channel, and more decisively so than in the UK, because the professional population is concentrated, highly networked and reachable by job title. That applies to organic presence and to paid targeting alike.

It is rarely enough on its own. Buyers still search, and search is where the intent is highest.

Should we run paid social as well as organic?

Usually yes, because organic reach on a company page is limited and paid is how you reach a specific job title inside a specific organisation. Organic is what they find when the advert makes them curious.

Run separately they duplicate effort and compete for the same attention. We plan and report them as one programme.

What should our company page actually do?

Act as a credential. A B2B buyer looks at it during the anonymous research phase to decide whether you are a serious business, so it has to answer what you do, who you do it for and which markets you can serve.

That last point matters more here than elsewhere, since licence type and emirate can decide whether a deal is possible at all.

Our buying committee keeps changing. How do you handle that?

By marketing to the account rather than to the individual, since the professional population here turns over faster than most and the person you nurtured for six months may have left before the deal closes. The activity has to keep reaching the organisation.

In practice that means the case for buying lives in material anybody new can find, rather than only in a relationship one of your people holds.

Do the other platforms matter for B2B?

Some do, and it depends entirely on your category: video platforms carry technical explanation well, and where your buyers are engineers or specifiers the demonstration matters more than the post. Consumer led platforms rarely earn a place.

We would rather do two channels properly than five badly, and we will say which two.

What do the UAE advertising rules mean for paid social?

Claims about capability, outcome and comparison have to be accurate and substantiated under UAE consumer protection law and UAE Media Council advertising standards, and that applies to organic posts as much as to adverts. Nothing about it prevents strong creative.

It does mean any credential or outcome in an advert should be one you could show a procurement team.

    Should we post in Arabic?

English dominates professional and commercial conversation across the UAE, so for most B2B businesses English carries the programme. Arabic earns its place quickly where you sell to government, semi government entities or established family owned groups.

Our own delivery today is in English, and where Arabic is central we will say so at the outset rather than treat it as a translation task at the end.
