Restaurant, F&B and hospitality marketing in Dubai

Restaurant marketing in Dubai that turns searches into reservations

Dubai’s dining scene moves to its own rhythm, and the campaigns that succeed here are built around it. Licensed venues need creative ways to promote the full experience, since alcohol cannot be advertised publicly under UAE advertising standards, while Ramadan shifts trading towards iftar and suhoor, and much of the city’s ordering happens inside delivery apps rather than on your own website. As an F&B marketing agency in Dubai, we plan for all of this from day one, combining hospitality SEO and local SEO that put your venue in front of diners searching nearby, targeted PPC campaigns that capture high-intent bookings, and social media and digital PR that build buzz around your brand. The result is a marketing plan tailored to Dubai rather than borrowed from a European restaurant group, helping restaurants, cafés, and hotels attract more guests, fill more tables, and grow their loyal customer base throughout the year.

How do you market a restaurant in Dubai?

Restaurant and hotel marketing in Dubai turns searches into reservations rather than impressions. Absolute Digital Media runs search, social and local visibility for restaurants, cafés and hotels, built around how people in the UAE choose where to eat and how they book a table.

    Why a specialist

What does a restaurant marketing agency in Dubai do?

It plans and runs the marketing that fills tables, covers and rooms: local search and maps, social and paid social, content, reviews and the delivery platforms. In Dubai that job has constraints a European brief does not. Alcohol cannot be advertised publicly even by a licensed venue, so the campaign is built on the food, the room and the occasion. Ramadan changes both the trading pattern and the tone of everything published. And a diner choosing where to eat tonight is comparing a map pin, a rating and a photo set rather than reading a homepage, which is why local SEO tends to do more here than anything else. Restaurants, cafés, hotels and cloud kitchens all sit in this sector but they do not behave alike.

    How the work runs

    Found, chosen, then remembered

The order is deliberate. First being found at the moment of decision, which is local search, the maps and the delivery platforms. Then being chosen, which is photography, ratings, menus and the offer. Only then the longer work of being remembered, which is social, content and the calendar around Ramadan, Eid and the season. Venues that invert that order usually spend a year building an audience for a listing nobody can find. Talk to our team about which of the three is costing you most.

    Questions

    Restaurant marketing in Dubai, answered

What does a hospitality marketing agency in Dubai do?

It plans and runs the marketing that fills tables and rooms: local search and maps, social, paid media, content and reviews, in a market where what you may advertise is genuinely constrained and the trading calendar looks nothing like a European one.

The constraints are the reason a specialist is worth having. Everything else is craft you could buy anywhere.

Can we advertise alcohol at our venue?

No, not publicly: alcohol is prohibited under the UAE’s advertising standards, so a licensed venue may serve it but cannot promote it in its public marketing, with very limited exceptions inside the areas designated for consumption.

Repeat breaches carry fines running to tens of thousands of dirhams. So the campaign is built on the food, the room and the occasion, and anything drinks-led stays inside the venue where it is permitted. The venues that market well here already work this way.

How does Ramadan change F&B marketing?

Completely, and it is the single biggest planning point in the F&B year, because daytime trade contracts, iftar and suhoor become the business, and the tone of everything you publish has to change with it.

It cannot be handled in the week before. Menus, offers, photography, opening hours and paid activity all need to be ready in advance, and the same applies to Eid immediately afterwards.

How much of F&B marketing is the delivery apps?

A large part of it, because in this market the aggregators are where a great deal of ordering actually happens, so listing quality, photography, menu structure and ratings on those platforms do work that a website cannot.

It is also the part most often left to whoever set the account up two years ago. An audit of your listings usually finds cheaper wins than a new campaign would.

Do reviews and Google Maps matter for a restaurant here?

Enormously, and more than a website does for most venues, because a diner deciding where to eat tonight is comparing a map pin, a star rating and a photo set rather than reading anybody’s homepage.

That makes profile accuracy, photography and a consistent way of asking for reviews the highest-return work available to most venues. Our local SEO work covers it properly.

Do you work with hotels as well as restaurants?

Yes, and the two behave differently enough to be planned separately, because a hotel is selling rooms against online travel agents on international search while a restaurant is competing for a local decision made within the hour.

A hotel with several outlets is really two marketing problems in one building, and treating it as one is how the restaurants end up invisible.

Can we use influencers for restaurant launches?

Yes, and it is one of the most effective launch tactics in Dubai, but the rules changed: since February 2026 anyone publishing advertising content from inside the UAE needs an Advertiser Permit from the Media Council, unpaid promotion included.

A free meal in exchange for a post is still advertising. We verify a creator holds a permit before a partnership is agreed, because the exposure for getting it wrong runs to fines of up to a million dirhams and account suspension.

    Do we need Arabic content?

For most venues English carries the majority of search, but hospitality is one of the categories where Arabic earns its place fastest, particularly for family dining, Ramadan campaigns and anything aimed at a national audience.

Our own delivery today is in English, so tell us at the outset if Arabic is central and we will scope it properly rather than treating it as a translation task.

What about food and health claims?

They need substantiating like any other claim, so a menu or a campaign that describes something as healthy, organic, low calorie or free from an allergen has to be able to prove it rather than simply assert it.

Allergen claims are the ones worth being most careful about, because the consequence of getting one wrong is not a marketing problem.

How long before marketing moves covers?

Local search and listing work shows up fastest, often within weeks, because you are correcting information and improving what a diner already sees, whereas content and authority behave like the rest of SEO and take months.

Paid social sits in between and is the usual lever for a launch or a quiet week. We would rather tell you which of the three your situation needs than sell all of them.

Which services does a venue actually need?

Usually local SEO first, then paid social and social content, because a venue’s fastest wins are in being found and chosen at the moment of decision rather than in a long content programme nobody has time to read.

Bigger groups and hotels justify more, and a hotel selling rooms internationally is a genuine SEO and paid search job. A single site rarely is, at least at first.

How do you measure results for a venue?

On covers, bookings and orders rather than on reach, so the reporting ties map pack visibility, aggregator ratings and paid social back to what actually walked through the door or arrived as a delivery.

Some of that needs a little work to connect up, particularly bookings taken by phone. We would rather build the measurement properly at the start than present impressions as a result.
