The Brief

Ruggles Equestrian are a long-term client of ours, working alongside our PPC and SEO teams. Following COVID-19, our client wanted to have greater communication with their customers and provide regular updates that would promote new stock and make business updates easy to access. With this in mind, we turned to email marketing in order to drive sales through yet another marketing channel that would coincide with the existing marketing activity we carry out.

The Solution

  • We created two email marketing templates that would support both our initial campaign send and reminder campaign which was much shorter and played on FOMO to drive last-minute sales.
  • We created engaged content that would enable us to tie in the client’s products with the time of year, promoting those that would be of particular interest to equestrians in the UK.
  • We carried out thorough research within the industry to ensure that our campaigns would generate maximum visibility. We came to the conclusion that the best send days were Tuesday and Thursday.
  • We uploaded Ruggles Equestrian’s current database to Mailchimp, removing the email addresses that bounced on our initial email campaign send to ensure that those we did add wanted to receive communications from the eCommerce business.
  • We also set up eCommerce tracking on Mailchimp and the client’s website to identify how much revenue was driven by each campaign send.
