The commercial estate recovered as a whole. Keywords in the UK top three rose from 730 to 1,821 and the top ten from 1,194 to 2,448. Organic traffic rose from 16,071 to 68,908 monthly visits, with Semrush recording the same inflection independently. Five commercial pages now hold position one or three on their head terms, including direct lender loans, payday loans and short term loans, which are the terms the comparison sites spent a decade defending.
The strongest single asset is a competitor-alternative page. It went from nothing to 7,668 monthly organic sessions and holds position three for a query carrying 52,000 monthly searches, having acquired no referring domains at all. Borrowers do not search generically: they search for the lender a friend mentioned, the one they saw advertised, the one they were declined by. Every one of those queries is a borrower with intent and no loyalty.
The domain is cited in 2,160 AI-generated answers across 80 distinct pages: 167 prompt-based Google AI Overview citations across 40 pages, a further 1,557 AI Overview citations derived from Google search queries, and citations in Perplexity, ChatGPT and Gemini. Against its five direct-lender peers it holds 11.6% share of voice in Google AI Overviews on loan-topic prompts, third of six, behind Drafty at 88.5% and Lending Stream at 88.3%, and the only one of the remaining four with meaningful share.

Placements verified live in the Ahrefs index: Daily Record (Reach plc, DR 81), FintechZoom (finance trade, 75), Edinburgh Live (Reach plc, 70), Cheshire Live (Reach plc, 70), Coruzant (business and technology, 70), Insurance Edge (insurance trade, 66), The Exeter Daily (regional news, 62), Eco Magazine (consumer lifestyle, 61), Luton Today (National World, 59) and Bedford Today (National World, 55). Several carry nofollow attributes, which is standard across national and regional editorial: link attributes have been treated as hints rather than directives for years, and a nofollow mention on a Reach plc title still delivers referral traffic, brand search lift, entity association and a citable source that language models read.
