The scale of movement reflects how far the site had to come. Referring domains rose from 110 to 458, reversing a profile that had been declining for more than a year before the programme began, and the placements arrived on consumer titles at an average Domain Rating of 61.
UK organic traffic compounded as accumulated authority converted, moving from a near-zero start through 766, 1,301 and 4,841 monthly visits to a high point of 13,337. Loan Bird held no UK keywords in the top three at the start and reached 367, with a further 923 in positions four to ten. The commercial terms behind those positions are among the most expensive in UK paid search, which is why organic visibility matters disproportionately in this category.
Two things made the difference. Choosing the wrong desk on purpose: every instinct in finance PR points at the money pages, and that is where a small broker has the least chance and the most competition. And compliance by design rather than by review, because no campaign touched the product, nothing required a financial promotions assessment and nothing stalled in approval.

The first four rows are verified live in the Ahrefs backlink index; the remainder are recorded in Absolute Digital Media’s coverage log, which is why no Domain Rating is shown against them. The streaming subscription value study is the clearest example of the method: a money story dressed as an entertainment story, which reached the entertainment pages of a national newspaper without mentioning lending once.
